Wine Q & A
Questions submitted by our readers concerning wine (sometimes) and real life
Q: I was working at my computer last night while drinking a lovely glass of Château Morrisette Cabernet Franc. All of a sudden the cat jumped up onto my lap causing the glass of wine to spill all
over my brand new computer’s keyboard! What should I do??? I need help fast before my husband
finds out I may have killed our new computer keyboard!

A: Nora, you are in luck! Since our Cabernet Franc is a dry, red wine with a sugar content of only
.65%, little residue will remain in the keyboard after a proper cleaning. Make sure you shake out as
much of the wine as possible and then use a hairdryer set on very low heat to dry out the remainder
of the precious wine. Now, if you had been drinking a sweet wine that had higher sugar content, this
cleaning method would not have worked so well because the sugar would leave a sticky residue
causing your keyboard keys to gum up and stick. So . . . all is well. Enjoy the Wine!!!
