Chåteau Morrisette and Virginia TechUncork Hokie Bird Wines Hokie Bird Red and Hokie Bird White, the officially licensed wines of Virginia Tech, were released on September 9th. Virginia Tech’s long standing involvement in enology and viticulture research programs and the university’s commitment to improving the overall quality and scope of the Commonwealth’s wine industry makes the partnership with Chåteau Morrisette a natural fit.
Unfortunately, the inaugural vintage of these Hokie Bird wines was produced in limited quantities. The initial demand far surpassed our production within weeks of the wines’ release. Wait! Don’t despair! We anticipate our second release of Hokie Bird wines in the Spring of 2005. Check our website for updates on the exact release date. Please note: We do love our Hokies, but we are non-partisan! If you and your favorite university are interested in an official licensed wine, please let us know. |
