2010 Events
Sunday Sounds! Bring the family on Sunday afternoons June through October for live music in the courtyard at no charge. Local and regional musicians and entertainers will brighten up your day and keep your wallet fat. Grilled foods, soft drinks and wine available for purchase beginning at noon or bring your own picnic. Bring seating. Entertainment 1 - 4 p.m.
September 4 - Cinema on the Lawn Presenting silver screen classic, "Rear Window," starring James Stewart and Grace Kelly, on the restaurant lawn. Once the sun sets, settle back in your chair with a big blanket and watch a classic on the big screen. Food and wine available. At $5 per person, this is a cheap date and very romantic! Bring your own seating. Move starts at 8:30 p.m. Picnics, coolers or outside food and drinks are not permitted.
September 11 & 12 - Progressive Pairing Chateau Morrisette®, Villa Appalachia, Blacksnake Meadery, AmRhein Wine Cellars, and Foggy Ridge Cider collaborate to present a food and drink progressive pairing. Travel with directions to each site for selected food and beverage pairings enhanced by expert advice on flavor combinations. Purchase $30 tickets in advance by phone, or at any one of the participating locations. Saturday 11 a.m. - 5 p.m. or Sunday 11 a.m. - 5 p.m.
September 6 - Labor Day The Chateau Morrisette® Restaurant will be open on Labor Day from 11 a.m. - 2 p.m. The Winery and Gifts Shop will be open from 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. and tours will be held at 11 a.m., 1 and 3 p.m.
September 12 - Pet Adoption Day You've been promising! Bring the children and meet Floyd Animal Rescue and other rescue groups presenting adorable pets looking for a caring home. All tests, shots, baths, and grooming have been taken care of - all you need is a loving heart to qualify as an adoptive parent. 11 a.m. - 4 p.m.
October The restaurant will serve lunch every day in October. Dinner is available on Friday and Saturday evenings. Reservations are a good idea.

November 12 & 13 - Tales of Suspense - 7 pm. A three course dinner and edge-of-the-seat chills featuring the NoneSuch Playmakers. Popularity of this event has encouraged us to offer two evenings instead of one. Advance phone reservations and pre-payment required. $65 person. Cash bar.
November 24 & 25 - Thanksgiving We will be closed on Wednesday & Thursday to observe Thanksgiving with our families.
December 4 & 5, 11 & 12, 18 & 19 - Holiday Open House Begin a new tradition by starting the holidays with us around beautiful seasonal decorations, live music, complimentary hors d’oeuvres, mulled wine, sparkling cider, winery tours and wine tastings. Load up your sleigh and celebrate with additional discounts on wine and gifts. Noon - 4 pm.
December 24 & 25 - Christmas Holidays We will be closed Friday and Saturday to celebrate the holidays with our friends and families.
December 31 & January 1, 2011 - New Year's Eve & New Year's Day Lunch and dinner, tours, wine tastings, being with friends: what better way to end one year and begin a new? The restaurant will feature special menus and regular seating times apply. Enjoy great food and good wine and still have time to visit friends to ring in the new or usher out the old.
