Delicious Fried Green Tomatoes


Green Tomatoes sliced about 1/4" to 1/2" thick
1/2 cup buttermilk
one egg


2 cups Corn Meal
1 cup flour
1/2 cup corn starch
1 tbsp. granulated onion
1 tbsp. granulated garlic
1 tbsp. course ground black pepper
3 tbsp. dried parsley
2 tbsp. iodized salt


In a medium mixing bowl, combine all ingredients thoroughly.  In a separate bowl, whisk buttermilk and egg together until well blended.  Dredge green tomato in breading mixture then dip in buttermilk mixture.  Dredge one more time in breading mixture.  Fry in oil at about 360 degrees until golden brown.  Stack tomatoes with peminto blue cheese layered in between.

Pimento Blue Cheese Recipe


28 oz cream cheese
2 cups chopped pimento
4 cups shredded cheddar cheese
2 cups crumbled blue cheese
1 tbsp. course ground black pepper 
1 tbsp. granulated onion
1 tbsp. granulated garlic
2 tbsp. Kosher salt


Break cream cheese into small pieces and combine with all other ingredients (except 1/2 cup pimentos) in a food processor.  Blend ingredients in processor, scaping down the sides with rubber spatula occasionally, until nicely pureed.  Turn out mixture into mixing bowl and use rubber spatula to fold in remaining pimentos.
